Gourmet coffee injected food?

All flavor gourmet coffee? There’s a movie my kids like to watch, it’s called “Charlie and the chocolate factory” and it talks about this guy who owns one of the greatest chocolate factories ever. Anyway, one of his inventions is a full course meal bubblegum. It starts with a first course, goes to main, dessert and all. These guys here could manage to develop something which reminds me that scene from that movie. Breakfast AND coffee in one. Could this be the end of gourmet coffee stained shirts in the morning? Could this be the end of heating up water and waiting for the grinder to finish grinding our fine beans? Well, I guess not, but an “Caffeine injected food” might work for some of you guys. If it tastes good, I can’t see why not try it?

What goes better with a breakfast waffle than a cup of coffee?

One Marysville couple think they have the answer: a waffle infused with caffeine.

Roger and Amy Sullivan call their concoction Wired Waffles.

The Sullivans were looking to create, package and market a breakfast item that people enjoy. As they were mulling over their product plan, they came across a woman in the Midwest who is putting caffeine in brownies.

“The light bulb went on,” Amy Sullivan said. Why not add caffeine to a breakfast food, like a waffle?

As Sullivan pointed out, not everyone likes coffee. And not everyone likes energy drinks, either.

“Why hasn’t anyone else thought of this?” she said.

The Sullivans rushed to bring their novel waffle idea to the market this September. Wired Waffles, as their packaging notes, “are not your kids’ toaster waffle.”

Although Wired Waffles is based in Marysville, the product is made in Denver, Colo. That’s where the Sullivans found a Belgian baker to make their Liege waffles.

The Yar.

Gourmet coffee at home

Many of us, gourmet coffee lovers, have thought at least once about making gourmet coffee at home from scratch. But when trying to do so, either lack of equipment or lack of proper knowledge usually stopped us from going for it. After passing the roasting stage, or “settle” for a deal where we are prepared to purchase roasted coffee beans from our local (and favorite) barista, we stumble upon one of the more important stages of our gourmet coffee creation, which is the grinding. Yes, that part where we take our roasted material and turn it into a delicious ground coffee. The thing is, at least when I first tried it, our great, delicately roasted and handpicked beans, can become as well as delicious grind to…well…dust. Overdo it, and you’re going to have small dust parts floating in your coffee, prematurely take it out of the grinder, and you’re into some other problems as coffee not being extracted the way you want it to be extracted, clogged coffee makers, mess, waste of money and more. Here’s a video I found about grinding coffee. I really like it because it explains stuff and I like to learn from people who already have the experience rather than seeing a flashy clip with great editing but almost no valuable information for me.

 Gourmet Coffee At Home

There is a difference when grinding gourmet coffee! Learn the best specialty coffee grinds for percolated, cold brew, pour over, espresso, and more. Jackie Mendelson started ArabicaDabra Coffee Company to provide true fairly traded coffee that’s sustainable, friendly to the environment, and gives back to the farming communities where she buys her beans.

So there you have it. I hope this took you one step closer to the stage of actually making coffee at home all the way from the start. And not “just coffee”, but gourmet coffee to awe and be proud of.

Cheers,

The Yar.

Gourmet coffee shop for 100$ !

Would you agree to buy your own gourmet coffee shop for one hundred dollars? And by “buying” I mean, own the place! I’m sure you would have. That’s what happened to this fortunate girl when former owner decided to sell his place for that amount of Joe – sorry, I mean doe. This seems like a strange decision, but hey, taking into consideration the fact that the former owner lives just next door, this will probably be his neighborhood’s coffee place therefore I guess he wants it to be cozy and warm (I would). So getting the right successor is extremely important for some piece of mind. Apparently it was so important to this guy, he was willing to lose 49,900$ for it.

Gourmet coffee shop for 100$ !

MILWAUKEE – For anyone who loved the National cafe’s gourmet coffee and organic menu, it was inconceivable the place was for sale for just $100.

CBS News national correspondent Wyatt Andrews reports the lucky buyer is 35-year-old Nell Benton – an out of work local check who was unemployed. “It’s completely changed my life, completely,” she said.

It’s also a dream Benton’s had since she was seven years old. She remembers “writing menus and playing with my Holly Hobby oven, setting things on fire, yep!”

On deals this good, there’s always a catch. Here’s there was a big one. Benton had to promise to keep the National as is: keep the staff, keep the name, buy local and stay organic. She wanted to do all of that anyway. But that still leaves one question. Who sells a restaurant for $100?

Michael Diedrick, the seller and the man who built the National, lives and owns a website design company two doors down from the cafe.

Oh, another thought. He might be already just so god damn rich from his gourmet coffee shop, he does not need the money…

Cheers,

The Yar.

It’s no secret gourmet coffee and coffee beans are used vastly in the food industry. We find them in desserts, main courses, alcoholic beverages and cocktails . Gourmet Coffee has also been used for some years now in the cosmetics industry, but only recently has it penetrated a larger market, and is becoming much more appreciated than ever before. I could actually find a research about using coffee as a sunblock substance, and even skin cancer protection. Here you can find five great cosmetics “recipes” which use coffee, and might just do wonders to your skin. I haven’t tried them yet, but from what I hear, coffee cosmetics is a new and very advanced field of cosmetics

A sip of coffee will not only make your day but also your evenings by adding beauty and glow to your face. The fragrant fried coffee beans are powdered and filtered with hot milk and sugar, will not only linger in your mouth but if used on skin and hair have its own natural effect. Take a look at the beauty recipes using coffee that will help you get the most aspired look in a jiff.

Top 5 Beauty Recipes Using Coffee

1. Coffee For Face (scrub): Those with dry skin will get the maximum benefits as the coffee scrub exfoliates and revitalises skin without making it further dry. Dryness leads to quick aging but coffee has anti aging properties that prevents these skin problems. 3 teaspoons of finely ground coffee is mixed with a teaspoon of milk and made into paste. The scrub is massaged all over the face in circular motion and left to dry, then washed with cold water. Pat the face dry and apply a moisturiser so that it locks all the moisture in skin.

So there you have it. If any of you did try those or any other gourmet coffee in cosmetics which is using coffee, please share with us your thoughts?
